Well, thank goodness I have fabulous friends! They let me practice taking their holiday photos. I am a bit disappointed for not getting the lighting or the focus perfect, but I will use this as a learning experience! My main lessons learned were: 1) ALWAYS have a tripod with me 2) Use flash! I have been trying so hard to use all natural lighting, but learned the hard way that subtle diffused flash is must better than the noise that occurs when you are in low light!
